What is a DBE?

DBE stands for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise. DBEs are for-profit small business concerns where socially and economically disadvantaged individuals own at least a 51% interest and also control management and daily business operations.

The City of Grand Island - Transit Division has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program and Three-Year DBE Goal in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 26.
